  3. What is the DD Suite? An enterprise data management system • Provides customizable internal functions for Councils and an external reporting mechanism for federal annual PPR • Improves data integrity, validity, and accuracy • Raises the level of accountability, measurement of performance, and transparency for the public www.ddsuite.org

  4. What are the benefits? • Stores all project data electronically • Flexibility in report design • Generates Annual Program performance Report (PPR) • PPR files compatible with OLDC • Reduced administrative time www.ddsuite.org

What is the DD Suite? • Project Management System • First Developed in 2003 in Microsoft Access • To manage grants and activities • To simplify federal reporting • Expanded to do much more • Prepare reports (Project Updates) • Create Press Releases and other public relations communications • Aid in strategic and financial planning www.ddsuite.org

  8. What is the DD Suite National Partnership? An intergovernmental partnership • 37 DD Councils • The National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) • The U.S. Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD) www.ddsuite.org

  9. The DD Suite Partnership • Originated at the 2004 TA Institute • Began in 2005 with VT, ME, MD, and AZ • Eleven more States joined in 2006 • Expanded to include 37 Councils as of today www.ddsuite.org

  11. 4.0 – Decision to Move to Online • Increased Councils meant more maintenance time • New model needed • Centrally managed • Improved visual accessibility • Increased grantee interaction • Better information to Council members, policymakers, the public www.ddsuite.org

  12. DD Suite 4.0 • Project Plan • Endorsed by the full partnership • Framework for collaboration • Specifies how DD Suite 4.0 will be developed • Details the responsibilities of all partners • Funded through partner contributions • $103,000 (15 months) www.ddsuite.org

DD Suite 4.0 • Performs many of the same functions as DD Suite 3.3 • Filing the Public Performance Report • Tracking Grants and Council Activities • Aids in Financial Planning • Prepares and prints reports and updates • But improves upon them • Access to data online • Grantees have direct access to monitor and update their information • Provides better access for users with impairments www.ddsuite.org

Where We Are • Currently at the 80% Design Phase • Data Design and Procedural Design Complete • Software Architecture nearing completion • Alpha Testing to start July 1st • Beta Testing to start July 15th • Trainings to begin thereafter • All Partner Councils using 4.0 by October 1 www.ddsuite.org

Regional Training: Agenda • Two day on-site demonstration, orientation, and training. • Focus includes: • Council Staff (day to day users) • Executive Directors (business process) • Local Administrators (local management) • Grantee Access (application submission, report submission, and information) www.ddsuite.org
