What are the Aura Guidelines? • Common data format developed and adopted by four instruments with separate instrument and development teams (HIRDLS, MLS, OMI and TES) • Guidelines developed on top of HDF5/HDF-EOS5 for storing each instrument’s data in a single common format Aura HDF-EOS File Format Guidelines: Overview and Status

What are the new features? • Guidelines for Zonal Mean and Gridded Products • Follow similar set of naming conventions as for the Swath Product (Level 2) • data organization conventions • units • metadata definitions (via HDF/HDF-EOS attributes) Aura HDF-EOS File Format Guidelines: Overview and Status
