Revised ON-Line Project Objectives • Interconnect SPPC and NPC Systems (advantages: scheduling, optimal dispatch, reduced operational generation reserves) • Deliver renewable energy from Northern to Southern Nevada • Utilize SWIP for future interconnection between Southern Nevada/AZ with Idaho System (SWIP-North) • Deliver renewable energy & other future generation from the Nort/NE (ID, Wy, Utah) to Southern Nevada/AZ/CA • Interconnect White Pine Energy Center: deferred

NVEnergy Statement of Interest (SOI) to Western NV Energy responded to Western Area Power Administrations request for interest with proposal of a new 500 kV transmission system traversing along western Nevada from North to South-East. This project will: Interconnect with large areas of renewable generation in Northern and Southern Nevada,

  34. NVEnergy “Western Intertie” Statement of Interest (SOI) to Western Connect NV Energy north with NV Energy south, Connect Western SNR (Sierra Nevada Region) to Western at Mead (WALC) The total 500 kV lines miles proposed is estimated at 675 miles.
