Overview • Event planned by the PDOC • Part of a four-workshop series funded by EDventures • First C-MORE workshop at a national conference • 24 participants, representing all C-MORE partner institutions (except OSU) • 11 graduate students • 8 post-docs • 1 staff • 2 C-MORE faculty • 2 participants were C-MORE post-doc alumni currently in Europe

Pre-meeting activities • Participants encouraged to order business cards, update their CV and web presence • Submit one-page overviews detailing • current research • dream projects • expertise offered • expertise sought • Participant booklets generated • one-page summaries • C-MORE research and EDventures program overview • presentations by workshop participants

  6. Post-Workshop/ASLO2013 Conference • Participants encouraged to • attend C-MORE presentations • be active with respect to networking at the conference • discuss their conference experience with their advisers • think about submitting EDventures proposals

Post-Workshop Evaluation • Overall rating: 8.3/10 • Would you recommend this workshop to a peer?: 22/23 voted ‘yes’ • “I have to say that I was expecting this workshop to be less productive, as other networking workshops normally are. However, I am leaving with a very great sensation of having a very productive day and have built potential future collaborations” • “Would have loved more time for S. Dyhrmanto talk, and another one or two senior researchers to explain their experiences”
