  5. Dundee • In top 5 LA ranking for most 25+ age bands • Household composition: • Single men – 25-39 = 27% of all assessed as homeless; 40+ = 34% • Lone parent – 25-39 = 12%; 40+ = 9% • Reasons for homelessness: • Both highest for – other from owning/renting

  6. Falkirk • In top 5 ranking for all age bands • Household composition: • Single men – 25-39 = 7% of all assessed as homeless; 40+ = 14% • Lone parent – 25-39 = 11%; 40+ = 9% • Reasons for homelessness: • Both highest for – relationship breakdown from owning/renting

  7. Glasgow • In top 5 ranking for all 25+ age bands • Household composition: • Single men – 25-39 = 14% of all assessed as homeless; 40+ = 20% • Lone parent – 25-39 = 6%; 40+ = 9% • Reasons for homelessness: • Both highest for: • Leaving institutions

West Dunbartonshire • In top 3 ranking for all 25+ age bands • Household composition: • Single men – 25-39 = 13% of all assessed as homeless; 40+ = 10% • Lone parent – 25-39 = 10%; 40+ = 13% • Reasons for homelessness: • 25-39 highest for relationship breakdown from parent/relative relationship • 40+ highest for relationship breakdown from owning/renting

East Renfrewshire • In bottom 3 ranking for all 25+ age bands • Household composition: • Single men – 25-39 = 17% of all assessed as homeless; 40+ = 16% • Lone parent – 25-39 = 8%; 40+ = 11% • Reasons for homelessness: • 25-39 highest for relationship breakdown from parent/relative • 40+ highest for arrears other action from owning/renting

Edinburgh • Generally in bottom 6 ranking after 30 - 34 • Household composition: • Single men – 25-39 = 12% of all assessed as homeless; 40+ = 17% • Lone parent – 25-39 = 10%; 40+ = 8% • Reasons for homelessness: • Both highest for – relationship breakdown from friend/partner (though for 40+ also close for arrears other action)

Support needs • Dundee – 25-39 – Mental health problem; 40+ mental health/medical condition • Falkirk – both - basic housing management/independent living skills • Glasgow – both - drug/alcohol with mental health additional for 40+ • West Dunbartonshire – 25-39 – drug/alcohol; 40+ basic housing management
