  3. 1. System Introduction. SimS or Simplified Inventory Management System is a homegrown system developed by Network Maintenance & Initiative Expert En Abdul Aziz Che Omar. The system is developed to improve the end to end tracking of Unifi BTU and CPE movement in Telekom Malaysia. Currently, the SimS system is isolated from any system integration. Once the system is stabilize, the Sims Will be interfacing with NOVA and GEMS for real time updating and reconcillliation.

  4. 2. How to Access The SiMS. 1. Open your Browsers either on your laptop, workstation or tablet. Recommended browser is Google Chrome 2. Enter the specified IP Address into the Browser URL http://175.143.75.179. If correctly Entered, the Sims website will appear.

  5. 3. To Login, Users are required to search for their store location in the dropdown list given. 4. Then, Select your username and enter password given and enter.

  6. 5. Once entered, the main menu for the SIMS will appear. Different view for different level of Access ID. CPE Coordinator Front Page View Installers & Assurance team View.

  7. Key Item Available at Main Menu Main Menu button – to go the statistic Page Select Your Task Button – to view your Good, Faulty, Return and in hand stock for the day. Proceed Button – to execute Select Your Task activities. CPE Status summary in users Hand. Field to input serial number via barcode scanner or via manual typing. Bulk Scan button – to insert stock to store inventory and to assign stock to team. Summary of TeamActivities

  8. 3. Insert Stock into Store. 1. Login into IMS system as per instruction in the previous training module. 2. There are 2 method of inserting stock into store. Via Single Input Via Bulk Input Due to store will be handling large number of stocks. We will focus more on Bulk Input Functionality. 3. In the main page, click the Bulk scan to input in Store button

  9. 4. Once button submitted, the bulk scan page will appear. 5. To Upload, the user need to input the serial numbers in the text field available in the page. 6. Then, Users need to select the CORRECT CPE Type and verify that the name of the coordinator appear in the field below the SELECT CPE TYPE. 6. When everything is in place, click the Assigned to STORE button. Once clicks, a pop-up notification will appear and mention numbers of successful transaction.

  10. 7. You can Verify the updating process by referring to the summary on main page or CPE Overview table at main menu.. a) Summary on main page. b) CPE Overview at Main Menu

  11. 4. Disburse Set to Team 1. Login into IMS system as per instruction in the previous training module. 2. There are 2 method of distributing stock to team. Via Single Input Update Via Bulk Scan To team Due to store will be handling large number of stocks. We will focus more on Bulk Scan To team Functionality. 3. In the main page, click the Bulk scan to Assign to Team button

  12. 4. Once button submitted, the bulk scan page will appear. 5. To distribute to team, first scan all the CPE related into the text field. For team distribution, all CPE Serial number can be scan into the same text field . 6. After completed scaning, user need to select the team incharge and pick the CORRECT team to be assign. Then, click ASSIGNED button.

  13. 7. For verification, you can check the CPE summary on the main page or you can click SELECT YOUR TASK drop down list and select in-hand team today. A list of CPE distributed will appear below the summary table.

  14. 5. Updating to Customer Active / Return 1. In SiMS, the installer / assurance team responsibility is to update the CPE usage in the system. The can only update the status from location in-hand team to in- hand store or to customer active and from status good to faulty. Both updating method are the same, the difference is only in what value to be selected for each case. First, login into the system using a team ID. 2. In the team main page, you will see the total number of CPE assigned to you.

  15. 3. To update the status, first scan the CPE that you want to update using a Barcode Scanner. If you Don’t have a barcode scanner, you may search the barcode in the list, and copy it to the text field.

  16. 4. Once entered, the list will display the equipment related info. To Update, click the Submit Update button, in the lower end of the page. Once click, the editable field will be available . Before Submit to Update After Submit to Update

  17. 5. To update for completed installation or assurance, the user has to change/update 4 fields. Step 1. Verify the location status, Make sure that it is customer-active. Step 2. Change the status of Team-In Charge to Customer End. Step 3. Insert the customer service no ( VoBB Number ) in the Service No Field. Step 4. Insert the NOVA work Order number in the field. The Click Update.

  18. 6. To update for return installation , the user also has to change/update 4 fields. Step 1. Change the Location status to In-Hand Store. Step 2. Change the status of Team-In Charge to your CPE coordinator Name. Step 3. Insert the remark return in the Service no field. Step 4. Insert the remark return in the Work Order no Field. Submit Update.

  19. 6. Once submitted, the summary of CPE under the user should reduce by number of updated CPE. And if the CPE is returned, the CPE Coordinator page will indicate the return number.

  20. 6. Reporting – CPE Overview, CPE Report This functionality only available for CPE Coordinator. Currently there are 2 type of report available for CPE Coordinator. CPE Stock Overview. CPE Report For CPE Stock Overview, the user will be able to view the total number of CPE at store, at team by status. User also able to view the serial number and team assigned to by clicking the number.

  21. For CPE Report, the user will be able to view the total number of installed orders to date. User also able to view the list by clicking the linked numbers in the table.
