BEEP: Overview • Blocks Extensible Exchange Protocol • RFC 3080, http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3080.txt • Intended as a framework for building other protocols • Uses a P2P architecture • Defines message framing • Multiplexes channels over a single IP connection • Supports encryption & authentication negotiation • Protocols may adopt BEEP for message passing, then concentrate on the message content.
