  3. What I already know • Many people have asthma • Asthma effects many people daily even little kids. • Asthma attacks can be very serious others not so much.

  4. What I want to discover • What cause’s an asthma attack? • What treatments are there for asthma? • What’s the reason asthma occurs? • How can you get asthma?

  5. Story Of My Research • First I went to the library and picked out a couple of books. • Then I found more information on power library. Which I know that the information given is correct. • I also learned how to hyperlink a power point correctly.

  6. My search results • An asthma attacks is when the bands of muscle surrounding the airways tighten. • An asthma attack feels like: take a deep breath, breathe out a little. Then take a second deep breath, breathe out a little and repeat a few more times. • Kids in America miss a total of 10 million days of school a year and visit hospitals 200,000 times.

My search results • Asthma can cause: headaches, eyes and nose irritation, shortness of breath, dizziness. • Things in houses that can have an affect are quilts, carpets, and mattresses, dust mites, cat and dog hair and weather patterns. • Indoor air pollutions cigarette smoke, chemicals from cleaning supplies, building materials ,mold, and invisible bugs inside dust.

  8. My Research Results Most asthma cases are diagnosed before age 3. Some people have asthma exercise-induced asthma. Cold, dry air is a trigger to an asthma attack. Small kids who live in the country their asthma can be triggered by mold and pollen. Where as kids who live in cities can have an attack due to cockroaches and rodents.

  9. My Research results 1o to 12 percent of athletes have Exercise-induced asthma(EIA).Today it can be medically managed and its effects minimized. Kills about 4 thousand americans,and about 10 people today. American workers miss a total of 25 million workdays due to asthma.

  10. My Research Results Asthma can even burn the persons lungs, and causes them irritation. Asthma irritation can even go on for days. Some asthma attacks are unexpected and people go on every day in fear of when there next attack will be.

  11. My Growth as a Researcher My growth throughout the last two weeks of my research on asthma is I learned a lot of new things that I didn’t know before. That could possible help me if I was ever the only one around while someone is having an attack and needed help. Each day I got more attached to what I was reading and didn’t want to quit researching it I had found many things interesting.
