Curriculum Vitae (CV) vs. Resume The primary differences between a resume and a CV are • Length • What is included • What each is used for A resume is 1 or 2 page summary of your skills, experience and education. Short document. A CV includes a summary of your educational and academic backgrounds as well as teaching & research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors, affiliations and other details. Resume • A resume should be something that convinces the recruiter to give us the job • Your Resume should be filled with carefully organized point-by-point message that says one simple thing: “give me this job” . • You may also get more chances , if the resume is framed as an offer , rather than a demand.   9. Resume - Guidelines Appearance: • Create a well-organized, readable layout to increase the chances that your resume is read Be concise: • Use bullet statements instead of paragraphs Gharda Institute of Technology
