  2. Question:what was Nelson's real  name ? Answer:  His real name was Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. His school teacher called him this name.

  3. Question: Why is he also called 'Madiba'? Answer: Madiba is his clan name, telling people that he was a member of the Madiba clan .In his autobiography, Nelson Mandela explains: "I am addressed as Madiba, my clan name, as a sign of respect."

  4. Question: Why was Nelson Mandela sent to jail? Answer: Nelson Mandela was arrested and jailed because he was accused of treason by the South African government. In 1944 he joined the African National Congress (ANC).  He went on trial for treason in 1956-1961 and was taken out of jail  in 1961. 

  5. Question: Where was he jailed? Answer: He was jailed at the Robben Island Prison, 12 kilometers away from Cape Town, off the coast of South Africa.

  6. Nelson became president Nelson mandela over through the white people and became president of South Africa. He told the white that they had done wrong and changed the country into a nice place. 

  7. Nelson Mandela's dad's name is Gadla Henry Mphakanyiswa from the Tembu Tribe he had four wife's with whom he fathered thirteen children. nelson mum was his third wife Nosekeni Fanny.
