  2. Meeting Objectives • Describe the Council of Education for Public Health (CEPH) accreditation process and benefits of renewal; • Describe the role of the Steering Committee and individual member participation; and • Present a draft work plan and timeline for Committee review and approval.

  3. About CEPH An independent agency recognized by the US Department of Education to accredit schools of public health and certain public health programs offered in settings other than schools of public health.

  4. CEPH Accreditation Process • Self-Study conducted by UTSPH • Site Visit with CEPH reviewers • Accreditation approval

  5. Impact of CEPH Accreditation CEPH Accreditation benefits the following: • Public • Students and their Parents • Employers • Graduates • Public Health Workers • Profession • University • Faculty • Administration • School and Program
