  1. Caesarean Section - Benefits And Risks

  2. INTRODUCTION Every pregnant woman hopes for normal delivery without any complications. There are two ways for the babies to come out to the world; Either via vaginal birth or surgical delivery. The main goal of both delivery methods is to give birth safety. Most of the pregnant woman is hoping for a vaginal birth. But few babies need to be delivered via a caesarean section (C-section). There are a lot of clinics that provide meditation and counseling through best gynecology doctors to improve the number of normal deliveries.

  3. In some cases, everything doesn’t happen as you plan, so you may have to go through the C-section. • A woman may previously know that she needs a C-section because she may have a critical medical condition like high blood pressure or diabetes, or she is expecting twins or multiple babies. • If a pregnant woman has an infection like HIV or a genital problem that she could pass along to her baby during pregnancy, in this situation, the C-section is scheduled ahead of time. • A C-section is essential for certain situations, such as the baby is not in a heads-down position, cubical cord stuck around the baby neck, or a woman with a small pelvis delivering a large baby.

  4. Benefits Of Caesarean Section • C-sections are basically considered safe, and sometimes it is a lifesaving process. • When vaginal birth has become dangerous or too difficult, they go with caesarean section and open up women’s abdomen and take the baby out of her uterus.

  5. A planned C-section might decrease the risk for a woman those who not had a C-section before: • Going through a long labor • Pain before and after the birth • loss of bladder control • heavy bleeding

  6. Risk ofCaesarean section • A C-section can bring major issues and risks for both the mother and the baby. When compare with vaginal birth, there are high chances for you to face some risks. Increased Bleeding • In a C-section delivery, you're bleeding will increase at the end of the surgery. Though bleeding is common in surgery, the heavy bleeding is uncommon, and it means you require to have a blood transfusion.

  7. Infection • To reduce the risk of infection, you have to take a single dose of antibiotics before C-section. There are three main infections are: • Infection of the lining of the uterus (endometritis) • Infection in your wound • Urinary tract infection Surgical Injury • Surgical injury is very rare, and it may occur accidental marks to the baby during surgery. Though it is rare, and if you have any bladder or bowel injury during C-section then, you might need additional surgery.

  8. Blood clots • A C-section might raise your chances of developing a blood clot in a vein, particularly in the pelvic organs and legs. If the clot lodges in your lungs (pulmonary embolism) then, the damage can even be life-threatening.

  9. CONCLUSION Vaginal birth is safer than caesarean birth. But if there are any complications then, you can go to your next option C-section with the advice of your doctor.
