  21. 21st Century Scholars In January all 6th graders/families that qualified were given the opportunity through Project Leadership to register for the 21st Century Scholar program.

  22. School Assessment-Performance AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) • 2010 – Made 13 out of 13 categories • Have made it 7 out of last 8 years. (in ’08 missed in 1 category) PL221 • 2010 –Exemplary Progress • Based on ISTEP performance and improvement over the previous year’s results.

  33. School Improvement Plan SIP Team includes: (Need 2 Parent reps), Leisa Drook, Marcia Carpenter, Mary Van Aken, Sue Mills, Danny Middlesworth and Rob Martin Will be meeting in near future.

  34. SIP-Attendance Goal • Goal 2010-11 Swayzee Elementary's attendance rate will meet or exceed the state standard for attendance • Benchmark Swayzee Elementary's average daily attendance will be an average of 97.5% by the year 2011

  35. Goal-Writing • Goal 2010-11 Students will improve in writing skills across the curriculum • Benchmark Previous School Improvement plan average was 59% An average of 73% of students (grades 5, 6, 7) will score a 4 or above on thewriting application rubric by the year 2012

  36. Goal-Math Computation • Goal 2010-2011Students will improve in Math Computation and Problem Solving Skills • Benchmark Previous School Improvement plan average was 88% • An average of 90% of the students in grades 5, 6,and 7 will pass ISTEP Math Standard by 2011

  37. Professional Development • Work to implement effective RTI model-(training involved) • Improved Data recording/analysis. • Seek out and implement additional remediation resources and intervention strategies for student academic improvement. • Continue to use book studies for staff. • Effective use of conferences and in-service training for staff.
