  1. COSMO-RO evaluation with Common Verification Suite Aurelia LUPASCU, Rodica DUMITRACHE, Iulia IBANESCU

  2. The Common Verification Suite package has been implemented in Romania with the beginning of September 2007. Using this package, it has performed different evaluations for different meteorological parametersfor the Romanian operational COSMO model. Here are the results obtained using CVS package. DOMAIN CHARACTERISTICS COSMO_RO 14 km 81x73 grid points 35 vertical levels startlat_tot = -15.0; startlon_tot = 5.0 pollat = 32.5; pollon = -170.0; dlon=0.125; dlat=0.125

CONCLUSION • In the next period we intend to use CVS to evaluate more parameters. • For this evaluation we use SYNOP-files for observations and for the next evaluation we intend to use CVS with BUFR files. • We started the work for the transformation of SYNOP files into BUFR files. • We also intend to implement and use VERSUS.
