  1. Deep in the desert three days south of Dunesend

  2. An isolated outcropping of basalt marks the location of the famous Kalak Lode.

  3. 13th Champion of Rajaat - Borys of Ebe "Butcher of Dwarves" failed, or decided not to completely destroy this great mine of the dwarves. The original name of the mines was Fortress Ironfell and the Karak lode, which over the years has been misconstrued as Kalak lode.

  4. When the members of Clan Ironfell began their excavations here, they constructed a defensible fortress to protect the mines below. Within the rock of the basalt bluff, they carved a multilevel complex whose gatehouse was the only sign of what lay below. From this bastion, the Ironfells controlled the desert for 50 miles in all directions.

  5. After the Champion and his forces attacked, clan Ironfell had no choice but to scatter throughout the region. Borys was stopped from utterly destroying the fortress but managed to hide it for an unknown reason. The dwarves of Dunesend have always known about the fortress because they are direct descendants of the Ironfell clan, but over the ages have lost interest in guarding their ancestral home. None remember the stories of what lies within the mines and those that do assume that it is cursed or already looted throughout the many generations that have passed since it fell. Until the past 5 years, the fortress had been hidden by many feet of sand and spells that the Champion Borys placed on it hundreds of years ago.

  6. Templar Maris, who specialized in hunting down hidden truths in the region surrounding the city-state of Tyr, discovered it uncovered and unprotected by spells. Immediately he reported his findings to King Kalak, which in turn led to an investigation of the area for further research. Before anything more could be discovered, King Kalak called off the research and shelved the discovery.

  7. Instead he pushed for faster work on his ziggurat, insisting that it be completed within the following next few months. A couple weeks after the ziggurats completion the King was murdered during the celebrations of the accomplishment.

  8. Now you sleep just within sight of the once great fortress. Once the sun raises you and the rest of the Metal Spoon will be making your way into this mysterious find. What dangers lurk in the shadows of this ancient structure? Who is Queen Shephatiah and how did she come to make the mines her home? With the evil Warden dead as well as his monstrous steed what else does this Queen control? In two weeks the Metal Spoon will discover these answers and more, Friday the 25th at 7pm.Game 13, Be prepared for an epic experience.
