    21. IAY The objective of the Indira Awaas Yojana is primarily to help construction/upgradation of dwelling units of members of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, freed bonded labourers and other below the poverty line non-SC/ST rural house holds by providing them a lump sum financial assistance.

    22. Target Group Freed bonded labourers SC/ST households SC/ST households who are victims of atrocity SC/ST households, headed by widows and unmarried women SC/ST households affected by flood, natural calamities like earthquake, cyclone and man-made calamities like riot. Other SC/ST households Families/widows of personnel from defence services/paramilitary forces, killed in action. Non- SC/ST BPL households. Physically and mentally challenged persons. Ex-servicemen and retired members of the paramilitary forces. Displaced persons on account of developmental projects, nomadic/semi-nomadic, and de-notified tribals, families with physically/mentally challenged members.

    24. Watershed Management To Conserve natural resources Strengthen the livelihood resource base of rural poor.

    26. Transparency Preparation of the Action Plan for the watershed by the Gram Panchayat in consultation with Self-Help Groups/User Groups with the assistance of WDT members. Approval of the Action Plan at the open meetings of the Gram Sabha. Display of approved Action Plan on a Notice Board at the Gram Panchayat Office, Village Community Hall and such other community buildings. Review of physical and financial progress of work during implementation phase through periodical meetings of the Gram Sabha. Payment to labourers directly and through cheques wherever possible.
