  5. Titles for Individual Slides • Title each slide a different name • Tie in title slide with slide information • Organize title slides in logical order

  6. PPT Presentation Rules • 7x7 Rule: • No more than 7 words per bullet • No more than 7 bullets per slide • Capitalize titles and 1st words only • No periods at end of bullets • No complete sentences or paragraphs

Organizing Slides • Slides should flow in logical order • Ex: Shakespeare’s Childhood then Career, then Influences • Avoid repetition by group members • Do not overload slides • Pick most important info to place on slide • Most of your presentation is spoken • Prepare presentation around speech • Speech and ppt should match up

  8. Background and Font Design • Choose simple, clean background designs and fonts • Nothing busy or distracting • Do not use red fonts or backgrounds • Do not use exclamation marks unnecessarily • Group presentation should be uniform • Same background design and font

  9. Pictures in Slides • 1-2 pictures per slide is required • No more than 3 pictures on a slide • Do not overload slide! • Cite picture sources at end of individual presentations using MLA Formatting rules
