Primary Responsibility Principal advisor to the Fleet Surgeon and Deputy Fleet Surgeon on medical enlisted matters, medical readiness, medical evacuation/patient tracking, patient care, manning, equipment, and training issues aboard all platforms and units assigned to USFFC Alignment and Standardization throughout the Fleet UNCLASSIFIED
Fleet Oversight for Man, Train, Equip • Monitors all Medical Readiness Inspection results completed by the TYCOM to ensure the operational readiness of the fleet. • Ensures that annual AMAL reviews take place through each TYCOM and the appropriate updates are made by NMLC. • Monitors the status of Authorized Medical Allowance Lists for all afloat and other units assigned to USFFC • Serves as approval agent for Fleet (afloat) Emergency Medical Equipment Procurement request. Act as fleet point of contact with NAVMEDLOGCOM for emergency procurement actions • In conjunction with other sections of Fleet Health Services, monitors all medical training programs available to personnel of the fleet (operational) UNCLASSIFIED
Fleet Oversight for Man, Train, Equip • Serves as the USFFC interface with Health Science Education and Training Command, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery and other agencies as designated for Fleet medical training • Monitors enlisted medical personnel billet requirements and readiness of those sourcing activities within BSO-60 • Serves as the Senior Fleet IDC; provides guidance to TYCOMS and other BSOs • Coordinates Fleet Surgeon Monthly Round Tables • Conducts monthly TYCOM Medical SEL meetings UNCLASSIFIED
Mission • Train, certify and provide combat-ready Navy forces to Combatant Commanders that are capable of conducting prompt, sustained naval, joint, and combined operations in support of U.S. national interests. • Command and control subordinate Navy forces and shore activities during the planning and execution of assigned service functions in support of Chief of Naval Operations. • Provide operational planning and coordination support to Commander, U.S. Northern Command (CDR USNORTHCOM), Commander U.S. Element NORAD (CDR USELEMNORAD), and Commander, U.S. Strategic Command (CDR USSTRATCOM). • Command and control subordinate forces during the planning and execution of joint missions as the Joint Forces Maritime Component Commander North (JFMCC-N) to CDR USNORTHCOM.
