  1. Sequoyah Lacrosse

  2. Coach Lawson • Zachary.lawson@cherokee.k12.ga.us • Cell-(770)402-9950 • Coached 2 seasons as an assistant at Etowah High School

  3. Basic Information • Practice begins at 5:30. • Do not be late. • Practice will be swift moving, most drills will only be a few minutes at a time, unless we are running a 7v7 scrimmage and need to break plays down. • If you cannot be at practice, I need to be made aware. • Grades will be checked periodically • It’s important to be successful in the classroom and on the field. • If study halls need to be held after school, that’s what we’ll do. • Communication from coach to players will be through Remind101.

  4. Coaching Style/Philosophy • I like to be positive • I am energetic and like to have fun, but at the same time when it’s time to work it’s time to work. • I like to win like everyone else, but my coaching philosophy has a lot to do with the effort you put out there • You can’t control outcome driven goals (how many goals you scored, etc.) • But you can control how much effort you put forth • If you play hard and have fun, then the rest will fall into place.

  5. Expectations/Rules • The players are an extension of Sequoyah High School • You represent your school, your teammates, and yourself • I expect them to: • Carry themselves with integrity • Be honest, on the field and off. • Work as hard at school as they do on the field and vice versa. • No cursing or swearing at practice or at games • **Absolutely no jewelry at any time, practice or game • Must have full equipment at all times • More thorough rules and expectations will be given to the players after tryouts.
