  1. \ New York Times Japanese Attack in Honolulu, Hawaii Approximately 5 of 8 battleships had sunk. 3 cruisers, 3 destroyers, and a seaplane tender were seriously damaged. 96 army aircrafts and 92 navy aircrafts were destroyed and about 159 more aircrafts were destroyed. This caused the outbreak of World War II. The United States doesn’t want to be involved in WW2, but after this horrible tragedy, this urged them to enter World War II. The U.S. was courageous enough to fight the Japanese, but unfortunately, the U.S. was unprepared to fight back, and they were doomed. Before World War II happened, the United States was so weak that they were losing their fellow soldiers. Over 1,000 people had lost their lives, and over 1,000 people were left injured. The damage to their naval base cost millions of dollars. The total death of people who lost their lives in the attack was 2,403. This caused major chaos to the United States. Did the United States try so hard to fight back? The United States’ battleships were destroyed, ships had sunk, 188 planes were destroyed, and many ships were seriously damaged. It turned out that the U.S. was not strong enough to fight the Japanese. This made the United States angry and frustrated. Their final decision was to enter World War II. The United States would not live like this and will be forced to retaliate to such an act of war. The United States doesn’t want to interfere in the war. However, after the Japanese destroyed Pearl Harbor, the United States had no choice but to enter World War II. President Franklin Roosevelt stood up before Congress delivered a message about the attack on Pearl Harbor. This time, Congress passed a declaration of war that pushed the United States to enter World War II. After so many people had lost their lives and left seriously injured, December 7, 1941 had became “a date which will live in infamy.” This date stated that the people who lost their lives will never be forgotten. The U.S. and Japan declared war and WWII started. Yesterday, December 7, 1941, at 7:55 AM, the Japanese planes were soaring in the sky, flying toward Honolulu, Hawaii. The planes were called kamikazes. They were heading toward the United States naval base, Pearl Harbor. The Japanese was up to something no good. Why were the Japanese heading toward Pearl Harbor? It turned out that the Japanese were planning to destroy the naval base. Why were they angry? Would the U.S. enter WW2 even though they don’t want to be involved? Well, the United States had no idea what was happening. There were so many Japanese planes, that the significant amount of damage was done before the United States could fight back. The Japanese launched torpedoes under the ocean and dropping bombs. As a result, many ships were destroyed.

  2. \ First Atomic Bomb Developed by U.S. Japan Surrenders After Explosion The damage of the atomic bomb was very devastating. Thousands of people lost their lives and many lost their homes. Many were left injured and left homeless. People who survived in the explosion suffered from radiation poisoning. Radiation poisoning caused people to get cancer and leukemia. Not only had they lost the war, but almost the entire city was wiped out. It would take fifteen years for the Japanese to rebuild their country. Three days later after the explosion, on August 9, 1945, The United States dropped another atomic bomb on Nagasaki in order to force the Japanese to surrender. Over 80,000 people were killed and many had suffered from radiation poisoning. The effects of the atomic bomb were devastating. President Truman claimed that the atomic bomb was the only way in order for the Japanese to surrender, ending World War II. After 2 bombs were dropped, World War II was over. The United States had claimed their victory at Times Square, NYC. World War II ended on September 2, 1945. On August 14th, 1945, at Times Square, over 750,000 people celebrated the surrender of Japan and the end of World War II. People had never forgotten the remembrance of the end of World War II and the people at NYC were proud of themselves and they considered themselves as victorious. Victory was within themselves and within the whole world. Yesterday, August 6, 1945, at 8:15 AM, the United States dropped the first atomic bomb on Japan. The atomic bomb was the strongest weapon ever made. President Harry Truman decided to drop the atomic bomb in order to end World War II. The bomb was dropped in the Japanese city of Hiroshima. No one truly knows the damage that has been done to Hiroshima yet. Estimates show that the explosion had killed over 80,000 Japanese citizens. Why did the United States drop the first atomic bomb? The United States want to end World War II quickly as they went on. They don’t want any conflicts with the Japanese. Even though they destroyed Pearl Harbor, Japan was the country responsible for urging the United States to enter World War II. The United States had no choice but to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. As of now, there are no details about the bombing in Japan. However, it can be inferred that Hiroshima was severely damaged by the atomic bomb. The United States wanted to end the conflict with the Japanese. America has spent $2,000,000, 000 creating the atomic bomb. The atomic bomb was nicknamed, “Little Boy.” The United States want the Japanese to surrender. However, after the first bomb was dropped, the Japanese still refused to surrender, so Truman considered this a necessary means to end the war with fewer American casualties.

  3. \ Adolf Hitler: Hitler’s Past Life Hitler moved to Germany in 1913. After moving to Germany, he was called back to be in his home country, Austria, to serve in the army. However, he was declared “medically unfit.” He decided to join the Germany army and served four years in World War 1. There, he earned the Distinguished Iron Cross for bravery. However, he said that serving as a soldier in war was “the greatest and most unforgettable time” in his whole life. Later, Hitler’s life had became an absolute terror. In the year of 1913, he moved to Munich, Germany. Before he moved to Munich, Germany, he made a belief that Germany’s threat was the Jewish people as the ones responsible for the cause of World War II. This led to the beginning of the Holocaust. Hitler had become dictator because he wants to serve the Nazis. The Jews were in terrible danger due to Hitler’s rise to power. As Hitler’s power increases, Germany became stronger than the rest of the countries of Europe. However, Hitler made a belief that the Jews had become a menace and blamed them for the cause of World War II. Hitler and the Nazis had now seized power. As a result, Hitler wanted people to fear him so he himself would have more power in order to take over Europe. Adolf Hitler was most commonly known as the dictator of Germany. He is the ruler of the Nazis, a military general, and a nationalist. Hitler had become very popular across Europe and is feared by many. However, many people do not know how Hitler has truly impacted Germany and the surrounding countries of Europe. Why was Hitler so powerful throughout history? Why did he become an evil dictator? Before Hitler became a dictator, he was interested in becoming an artist. However, this dream drastically changed. You would think Hitler was born in Germany, right? Hitler was actually born on April 20, 1889 in Braunau, Austria. His father was an official with the Austrian Customs Service and he provided his family with a very comfortable life. In Hitler’s past life, he was mostly bored at school. By the time of his father’s death, he dropped out of school at the age of 16. After Hitler dropped out of high school, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts. He did not have enough artistic talent to succeed. As a result, he ended up homeless and selling postcards he painted to earn money. Hitler then developed an obsession with Germany. Hitler’s rise of power had increased throughout Europe. He despised the Jews so bad that the Nazis had created concentration camps to punish their enemies. Hitler’s plan to make people fear him worked. This gave the Nazis what they wanted. They wanted “legal powers” that could authorize them to invade the country. Before the beginning of World War II, Hitler began to duplicate an empire in year of 1938 so he could take over the country. He wanted to take control of Austria and Czechoslovakia. Hitler’s plan was to destroy his enemies who he blamed for causing World War II. The Holocaust was a time period where many Jews were slaughtered by the evil hands of the Nazis. However, Hitler’s dream had began to fade away and some of his military leaders were out to kill Hitler. Unfortunately, the plan backfired. In 1945, Hitler had committed suicide and his wife Eva Braun drank poison. Both of their bodies were cremated at an outside garden.
