Important Dates • October 23: Assessment preregistration $15; after October 23 and walk-ins are $25 • October 27/November 10: Assessments by grade level • November 25: Mandatory All-Club meeting • February 15/16: Pres Fest • March 8/9: Komet Krunch • June 23 – July 3: National Tournament/Minneapolis

Team Selection 5th – 8th GradesSunday, October 27Team Selection 9th-12th GradesSunday, November 10 • Players are evaluated according to the following criteria: • Skills • Passing, setting, hitting, court movement, overall team play • Team Needs/Positions • Players Needs – best interest of the player to help them grow in the game of volleyball by getting quality touches, ample playing time, and team chemistry • Players will go home after tryouts and an email will be sent out from their coaches within 24 hours to ask the players if they are interested in playing for their team. Requirements for the team will be listed on the email.

  5. 2013 and 2014 Season Fees • 12’s 13-18’s • NCR Membership Registration $49 $68 • Court Fee $40 $40 • Uniform (top only) $35 $35 • Coaching Fees $180 $200 • Admin Fees $25 $25 • (Printing, advertising, accounting, paypal fees) • Tournament Fees (Adjustable) $85 $125 • Sub Total $414 $493 • KrunchKredit -$50 -$50 • Total $364 $443

  6. Payments All payments will be made online using PayPal. Please go to the home page of KMVB.org site and click on the green “payment” link. You may pay upfront or in payments. Payments can be accepted at anytime but deadlines will be enforced. Payment deadlines: • 1st payment – November 21st • 2nd payment – December 1st • 3rd payment – January 15th • 4th payment – February 15th • 5th payment – March 15th ***A $25 fee will be assessed to late payments

Credits This year there will be two opportunities to earn credit towards your registration fees. • The Krunch – March 8th & 9th • Parents of KMVB players will be responsible for filling 2-2 hour shifts at the Krunch in order to receive a $50-$75 credit. • Fundraising • Additional team fundraising efforts outside of the Krunch need to be presented to the KMVB board for approval.

  9. Fee Payment Schedule 1 The following fees can be paid in two equal payments on November 21st& December 1st or one payment due on November 21st. This includes all upfront fees, i.e.: USAV membership, team sanctioning fees, portion of tournament entry fees, uniform

  10. Fee Payment Schedule 2 Payment deadlines: • $ 97 - January 15th • $ 97 - February 15th • $ 50 - March 15th*** • ***March payment not made if Krunch credit is available.

Club Rules • Please be considerate of allowing 24 hours before addressing any concerns. • Expected process: • Player addresses coach with or without parent • If issues persist then the Parent & Player may make an appointment with the coach and director. • Next step: Parent appointment with Club Director, coach and/or Advisory Board member • Policy and Procedure manual– each parent and player will be required to read and sign prior to participation. • Directors will be in charge of the age they are not coaching.

Practices • Practices and competition schedules vary by team and will be posted on the KMVB.org website • If school is cancelled due to inclement weather ALL practices will be cancelled • If you need to miss a practice, please contact your coach directly • Arrive 15 minutes early. It is the player’s responsibility to get the nets up. • Required practice gear: • T-shirt • Spandex • Kneepads • Tennis shoes

  13. Competition Days • Arrive at the competition site early. Your coach will designate the time. Be dressed and ready to be on the court at that time. • Remember to bring all pieces of your uniform. • Your behavior as a player, official, or spectator influences others opinions of you, your team, and your club. Please be respectful at all times.

KoMet Krunch • Saturday March 8th & Sunday March 9th • Play one day & work the other • Volunteers Needed • 5 Year growth: 21 teams to 88 teams • Proceeds benefit KMVB • Parents of KMVB players that work 2-2 hour shifts will receive a $50-$75 credit towards their fees. • New equipment: balls, carts, ball bags
