INITIATIVES IN 2011 • New Kiosk at Waldemar • Sell & Install Kilometre Markers & New Gates • New Park, Parking & Sidewalk Extension • Potential Trail Extension (work with Arthur group) • Membership Promotion • Boyne Creek Culvert Study • Events • Earth Day • “Chase the Tornado” (Run Dufferin)

CHASE THE TORNADO • On May 29, 2011, Run Dufferin has organized a 10km run to commemorate the tornado that tore through Grand Valley on May 31, 1985. • Starting from Grand Valley Community Centre (Arena), the route runs along Main St. past the business section, then back out Amaranth St. to E. Luther/Amaranth Townline, then south to the Trailway, then along the Trailway to Waldemar, thence north to 5th Sideroad and back via Amaranth St. to the arena. • Proceeds to go to a local group in need (as yet to be determined)
