  2. OBJECTIVES OF THIS PRESENTATION • Appreciate major themes of your job • Understand your job so you can better assist the section officers • Improve your job satisfaction • Realize overlapping responsibilities • Basic rule: If the Chair can’t do it, the Vice Chair fills in

  3. The major responsibility of your job is to be a HUMAN HIGHLIGHTER for ACOG.

  4. ACOG Human Highlighters… • educate the Junior Fellow membership about benefits and opportunities in ACOG • attend a variety of meetings and prepare reports prior to meetings • assist in elections/transitions of your section officers • encourage future leaders/get others involved • lead by example

  23. DISTRICT VICE CHAIR AND CHAIRFebruary • Complete the ACM Priority Housing form and fax to the Junior Fellow Services office (await information/materials from Junior Fellow Services office) • Send in meeting registration for the ACM (via national Junior Fellow services office)

DISTRICT VICE CHAIR AND CHAIRMarch-April • Follow-up on and verify status of nominations/candidates for Junior Fellow District Vice Chair and Secretary-Treasurer • Read preliminary agenda material for the JFCAC Annual Meeting (held at the ACM in May) • Review Sturgis Rules of Parliamentary Procedure and minutes from the JFCAC meeting in January

  27. DISTRICT VICE CHAIR AND CHAIRMarch-April • If a Stump the Professors case was chosen from your district, contact the presenter to assist in preparation for ACM • District Chair should prepare a report for the JFCAC Annual Meeting (submit to Junior Fellow Services)

DISTRICT VICE CHAIR AND CHAIRMay • Attend the JFCAC Annual Meeting (held the Saturday prior to the ACM) and the ACM • Confirm fall ADM Junior Fellow activities with District Fellows • Contact Fellow District Treasurer for travel reimbursement information to the fall District Meeting for Junior Fellow District and Section officers
