Why we need measurement • Most of today business – • manufacturing, transport, services, administration, etc., • produces electronic data. • Measurement of business data: • allows controlling current situation and determination of “bottle-necks”, • provides information for improvements, • shows that implemented changes are (un)profitable, • with accurate and exact methods.

  3. What are business measures • Business measures are rules, how to determine properties of business concepts, such as: • Time • Money • Resources • Quality • with exact definition and unit. • In process measurement we get values for defined measures.
