Stage Setter • Our Nation, the DoD and the Air Force face significant budgetary constraints • Spring 2010: DoDbegan a comprehensive effort to increase efficiencies, reduce overhead and eliminate redundant functions • Summer 2010: SecDef directed DoDto bring civilian manpower billets to FY10 levels • We must strategically align our most critical asset (people) against our most critical priorities We cannot be successful without our talented, experienced civilian workforce! America's First Choice!

Civilian Efficiency Process • AF conducted comprehensive review to ensure we execute required reductions in strategic fashion: • Stressed strategic solutions • Enterprise-wide approach taking into account AF priorities • ISR, Nuclear Enterprise, Global Mobility, Global Precision Attack • Find/trade space for required growth • Determine what to stop doing or do differently • Everything on the table for consideration America's First Choice!

  4. 60th AMW Impact • Focus is on FY12 & FY13 civilian reductions • 52 positions lost - 23 vacant, 29 encumbered • 29 encumbered positions does not mean 29 separations • Working with CPS to minimize impact to our valuable Civilian Airmen America's First Choice!

Way Ahead • 3 – 4 Nov: Manpower and CPS meet with Sq/CCs and affected employees • NLT 4 Nov: Required to advise VSIP applicants of approval • 7 VSIPs @ TAFB matches approved by AF • 31 Dec: VSIP retirements effective • Continuous placement efforts of affected employees • Based on AF review of this round of VSIPs there may be another round America's First Choice!

  7. 15 EMTF & 615 CRW Realignment • 15 EMTF & 21 EMTF will be inactivated • 615 CRW headquarters will be inactivated • 615 CRW units will remain at TAFB • Realignment date TBD (estimate mid-2012) • Personnel/billets affected: 6 Civilian, 25 Military America's First Choice!
