Brownfield Resources • Clean Ohio Brownfield Fund • Grants of up to $3,000,000 for environmental remediation and up to $200,000 for environmental assessment to local governments. • USEPA Revolving Loan Fund • Provides loans up to $1,000,000 for asbestos remediation and up to $300,000 for petroleum remediation to local governments, private entities, or non-profit entities.

  7. Brownfield Resources • OWDA Brownfield Loan Fund • Loans up to $500,000 for assessments and up to $5,000,000 for the cleanup of brownfields. Funding is available to governmental agencies and private entities. • Brownfield Action Plan • Provides technical assistance and grant funding for the development and implementation of an Action Plan for a brownfield-impacted area. Funding is available to governmental agencies and non-profit entities.

  9. Site Certification • Site Ohio • Certifies and markets Ohio’s commercial, industrial, and manufacturing sites based on site characteristics and community assets. Creates an inventory of certified development ready sites across the state.

  11. Preserving Historic Downtowns • Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credit • A state tax credit for 25% of Qualified Rehabilitation Expenditures on historic rehabilitation projects, up to $5 million.

  13. Low Income Community Investment • Ohio New Markets Tax Credit • Provides investors with state tax credits in exchange for delivering below-market-rate investment options to Ohio businesses in low-income communities.

  15. Sustainable Infrastructure • OWDA Alternative Stormwater Infrastructure Loan • Provides up to $5,000,000 to governmental entities for the design and construction of alternative stormwater infrastructure in developed areas.

  17. Local Government Collaboration • Local Government Innovation Fund • Provides both grant and loan funds to political subdivisions for innvoative approaches that will provide services in a more efficient manner, including feasibility studies, operational support, and demonstration projects.

  19. Vacant Facilities • Ohio Vacant Facilities Fund • Provides a financial incentive to businesses that create jobs in vacant buildings and business parks. Employers are eligible for up to $500 for each new full-time employee (40 hours per week) employed at the facility for at least one year.
