  3. Why is Israel separated from God? So God is responsible?! So is Israel beyond hope?! • b/c God did not choose most Jews election – 9:1-29 • No! Most Jews did not choose God human responsibility – 9:30-10:21 • No! God is faithful – 11

  4. God proves His faithfulness • By preserving a “remnant” for Israel (11:1-6) • In Elijah’s day • In Paul’s day • In our day

  5. God proves His faithfulness • By blessing all people through Israel (11:7-24) • God hardened the Jews • In cooperation with their hardness • To show mercy to all

  10. Micah 7:18–20 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. You will show faithfulness to Jacob and steadfast love to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.

  11. Why should this matter to us? The fate of the world is tied to Israel Israel’s fate is tied to God’s faithfulness God is always faithful, so no one is beyond hope Therefore, worship God!
