  5. Why join?The number one reason to join the Somerset Academy PTSO is to benefit your child. In doing so, you also help your school. • Working together helps to meet the emotional, social and academic • needs of our children.

Receive 5 FREE VOLUNTEER hours with your membership; • Receive regular e-mails about upcoming school activities and volunteer • opportunities; • Receive 2 VOLUNTEER hours when you attend our bi-monthly general • meetings; • When parents are involved in their children’s education, grades go up, test • scores go up, less discipline problems and children are more likely to pass and to • attend better schools after high school; • Know that all funds raised through PTSO go directly back to the school to • benefit our children.
