  3. Let’s try a 16 word summary. What kind of puppy? ,a little black puppy, ,a puppy, Write a concise summary … and then STRETCH it out. How did he chew? his happily

  4. Sixteen Word Summary • Chewy Louie, a little black puppy, happily chewed everything in his sight until he grew up.

  5. Add gestures. Adjectives Answer: • What kind? • Which one? • How many? • Adjective Snap what kind black Snap which one little Clap how many What kind of puppy? Shake your body while saying, “Adjective.”

  6. Add gestures. Adverbs Answer: happily How did he chew? • HOWdid you punch him? • WHENdid you punch him? • WHEREdid you punch him? • Go to the OFFICE! Adverb. Pretend to ‘punch’ the air three times while saying, “When did you punch him? How did you punch him? Where did you punch him?” Then, pause … make a thumb motion to the office and say, “Go to the office! Adverb.”
