  5. Updates/Requests from Prior Meeting • In DARCY: home address changes to current, but phone # doesn’t • Status on Diacritical Marks on Name • Kate Nimety presented to Local Experts June 2013 • Recommended: If diacritical marks or special characters are required to accurately represent a constituent or business, the recommendation is to include them only in the Mail Label Name or a Custom Name field, and use that field in output for reports and/or mailings. • We do have the ability to include diacritical marks in DARCY, but with the following considerations: • If included in the Alias or Mail Label Name (custom names), the name must match the feed to/from Harris, otherwise it will change every day • If included in the System Name, the “fuzzy search” option must be checked in order to find the constituent with a character in the name • If included only in the custom names,  the System Name would be cleansed of all diacritics, and would not “feed” the custom names.  All custom names would need to be manually typed.

  6. Open Discussion

  7. September Meeting Agenda Planning • We will NOT meet July and August, unless something urgent • September/October speaker?
