Salts that Form Neutral Solutions A salt solution containing the anion of a strong acid and the cation of a strong base • does not produce or attract H+ from water • is a neutral solution • of KNO3, for example, is neutral because it contains a cation from a strong base (KOH) and an anion from a strong acid (HNO3)
