  2. Room Zoning • This box can be used to indicate how you’d like the room to be zoned, so that you are responsible for one zone and your TA the other. The zones could be based on rows/tables and at different ratios: • 5:1 Teacher favour 4:2 TA favour • 4:2 Teacher favour 5:1 TA favour • 3:3 Even split • Zoning will require confidence on the TA part but has worked successfully to empower TAs in the classroom. Keywords Share keywords with your TA so that they are able to encourage and support students using them – you may also provide definitions as appropriate. Students Box Use this box to list initials and needs of students who require support in your lesson. e.g. AB lit YZ num SD ASD Resource Locator Where will the TA find resources for your lesson? • Shared Files • VLE • Online • Particular shelf or cupboard • TA role in learning episodes • This sections is used to indicate the role you wish you TA to undertake during the different phases of your lesson. There are 3 distinct roles: • Individual/Group Helper – working 1:1 or with small groups • Activity Manager – the primary focus is maintaining the equilibrium of task engagement for the remainder of the group, providing prompts and general feedback • Mover - may fetch and move equipment etc., deal with all interruptions to routine, e.g. spillages, visitors, in order to minimise distractions. • Use the notes area to as appropriate e.g. use gap fill for AB/YZ Reflection Use this section to reflect on the lesson afterwards, ensuring the TA starts. Give one WWW and EBI for the lesson in terms of learning, independence, next steps, adjustments etc..
