  1. Timeline • 2013 - Lakeview leaves Missionary Church denomination • April 2014 - Members ratify new constitution • 2018 - Lakeview and Grace leaders discuss possible merger • July 2018 – Merger talks conclude. Lakeview leaders begin studying biblical church government and discussion on rewriting constitution.

  2. Timeline • August 2018 – Executive Board informed of and discussed constitution revision. • September 2018 – Rewriting began • November 2018 – The membership was informed of rewrite. • March 2019 – Rewrite completed and approved by the deacons, elder and pastors.

  3. Changes The changes were made to bring the by-laws into alignment with the statement of faith. Mainly the conflicts arose between what are offices of the church, their definition and the authority of that office.
