Incident Airspace Management, cont. • Coordination with incident personnel and dispatch: • Provide fire information for tactical planning • Recommend strategies, tactics, and resources • Determine the procedures for ordering tactical aerial resources. • Coordinate with ground personnel • Provide air drop information. • Provide safety oversight.

  28. 3 C’S • Communications– Established • Clearance– Received and understood • Comply– Comply with the clearance. If you cannot, remain clear of the FTA until you receive an amended clearance that you can comply with.

  29. COMMUNICATIONS • Established with incident aircraft • If communications are not established, hold at the 7NM NOCOM (NO COMmunications) ring until communications are established

  30. CLEARANCES • Arriving aircraft shall be at the assigned altitude given by the ATGS or Leadplane prior to penetrating the FTA. For a standard FTA this would be 7NM from the incident
