    2. RES PHARMA® The ingredient for formulating success

    3. Innovative Products Safe Naturally sourced Following market trends Easy to use Simplifying life for formulators

    6. EMULPHARMA 35 Nature: EMULPHARMA 35 is a non neutralised emulsifying system, produced by reacting special C12-16 ethoxylated fatty alcohol with diphosphorus peroxide. INCI name: PALMETH-2 PHOSPHATE Total formula: R- (C2H4O2)2-H2O4P (R=C12-16) Chemical name: Alcohols, C12-16, ethoxylated, phosphate Origin: vegetal Form at 25°C: clear oily liquid, colourless and with light odour Solidification point: < 10°C Solubility: In natural oils and fats, in fatty alcohols, in fatty acids and in polyethylene glycol. Emulsifiable in warm water Range of use: 1 – 3.5 %

    7. EMULPHARMA 35 EMULPHARMA 35 can be used as: ? Primary emulsifier Low amounts (2-3%) can be used to produce very stable emulsions. ? Emulsion stabilizer Very low concentrations (0.3-1.0%) can be used as a co-emulsifier in the production of creams and lotions of any viscosity and consistency.

    8. EMULPHARMA 35 EMULPHARMA 35 based emulsions can be prepared over a wide range of pH values, producing quality skin care products with a unique rich texture. Gives to the products some “water-proof” characteristics, leaving a “silky” touch on the skin. In combination with non-ionic emulsifiers, confers a shiny aspect to formulations and lowers the excess of foam. The stability of the emulsions over a wide range of pH values and oxidizing matters, allows for special and particular applications…. Similar unbehaviour to AMPHISOL A and HOSTAPHAT KL 340 Similar unbehaviour to AMPHISOL A and HOSTAPHAT KL 340

    9. EMULPHARMA 35 Oxidizing emulsions In studying those formulations, it is necessary to consider two important aspects: The stability of the emulsion itself. The capability to preserve the assay of the hydrogen peroxide in the course of time.

    10. EMULPHARMA 35 The assay of hydrogen peroxide of the emulsions prepared with EMULPHARMA 35 and hold at room temperature do not show important variation after three months.

    11. EMULPHARMA 35 Oxidizing emulsions produced with EMULPHARMA 35 are considerably less irritating compared to emulsions normally found on the market The irritation caused by oxidizing emulsions is determined using the Irritection Assay System?, an ‘in vitro’ IDE (Irritation Draize Equivalent) test.

    12. EMULPHARMA 35 The irritation effect was verified using emulsions containing 12 and 20 volumes of Hydrogen peroxide, produced with EMULPHARMA 35 (a) compared to a leading emulsifier (b). 1a 2a 1b 2b   EMULPHARMA 35 2.00 2.50 -- -- Cetrimonium Chloride (30%) 0.70 0.70 -- -- Ethoxylated Cetearyl Alcohol -- -- 3.00 3.00 Oxyquinoline 0.05 0.05 0.05 0.05 Hydrogen Peroxide 36% 10.00 18.00 10.00 18.00 Aqua, q.s. at 100

    13. EMULPHARMA 35 The emulsion with EMULPHARMA 35 and 20 volumes of Hydrogen peroxide can be considered non irritant, an excellent result for a product of this type.

    14. EMULPHARMA 35 EMULPHARMA 35 can reduce the irritancy of an oxidizing emulsion even when used only as a co-emulsifier. 2a 2b 3a 3b EMULPHARMA 35 -- -- 0.50 1.00 Ethoxylated Cetearyl Alcohol 3.00 3.00 2.50 2.00 Oxyquinoline 0.05 0.05 0.05 0.05 Hydrogen peroxide 36% 10.00 18.00 10.00 18.00 Aqua, q.s. a 100.

    15. EMULPHARMA 35 High performance emulsifier for O/W systems (particularly in hydrogen peroxide emulsions and hair products). It can be used in cold processing. Easily neutralised with any base used in cosmetic field. Viscosity does not build up after production. A co-emulsifier with stabilizing action in personal care products formulations. “Easy to prepare” emulsions in wet-wipes production. Cationic substances increase the viscosity of the emulsion.

It can be used in any kind of application without use of any solubilizer.

    58. RESPLANTA applications In toiletries formulations, they increase the viscosity and help to stabilise foam. Due to their intermediate HLB value, they can be used as emulsifiers or co-emulsifiers in O\W systems. In personal care give their properties to skin and hair without greasy touch.

    59. .… RESPLANTA OLEA for example ….. The nourishing peculiarities of the precious Italian Olive Oil promote an enriching effect in toiletries and personal care formulations. It reduces the irritating action of the surfactant system. In toiletries formulations it does not modify the foaming power and it causes a thickening effect. It has a good solubilizing power, appreciated to disperse oils, scents and liposoluble active principles. Oily compound that permits the absorption of lipophilic active principles in bath and massage formulations. Due to its intermediate HLB value, it can be used as an emulsifier or co-emulsifier in O\W systems.
