CADET POPULATION GROWTH INITIATIVE (CPGI) …an initiative, with one master plan, to move leaders at all levels of the Cadet Program to address the recent decline in the size of the cadet population. AIM: to increase the number of Canadian youth participating in the Cadet Program to 70,000 by 2016.

  3. MIP MAJOR FOCUS AREAS RETENTION of current cadets ATTRACTION of news cadet & their parents PROMOTION of the program to the public IMPROVEMENTS to the program’s appeal

  5. PHASE 2 GOAL Grow the Cadet population to 60,000 by June 2013 GROWTH STRATEGIES 1. Struggling corps - get help or offer help. 2. Retain 3-4 more current cadets. 3. Attract an retain 5 more new cadets. 4. Plan & prepare to attract and absorb more cadets. 5. Changes to existing corps & start new corps. 6. Raise public awareness locally (promote the program). 7. Engage cadets/staff/sponsors on improvement ideas.
