  2. Introduction:- By visiting the Great Wall of China, you can see more and more interesting things and experience the true spirit of history and enjoy the incomparable scenery.  It is difficult to find a larger-scale creation of human hands than the Great Wall of China. Only Egyptian pyramids can be distinguished. And if the structures in the Giza Valley are mainly concentrated in one place, then the wall, like a giant dragon, runs over deserts, fields, mountains and a plateau, stretching for more than 20,000 km from east to west of China.  https://www.trekclub.org/

  3. Despite the almost zero effectiveness in protecting against invaders, it still became a symbol of the country's power, a kind of barrier between the Celestial Empire and the rest of the world. Today, millions of tourists annually seek to see this symbol by booking a Great wall hiking tour, a significant part of which are residents of the PRC, who believe that if a person has never been on the wall, he cannot be a real Chinese. The great wall - the structure is not solid. Over 2700 years of existence, many of its sites have turned into ruins, or even were completely demolished. Therefore, it implies a journey to certain segments, most often completely restored, located near large cities with developed tourist infrastructure. https://www.trekclub.org/

  4. Mutianyu is the “sleekest” 73-kilometer stretch located 2 hours from Beijing. A carefully restored wall with many watchtowers is surrounded by stunning mountain ranges. There are not so many people here as in other segments, so if time permits, it is better to go here. According to many tourists, the architecture here is more interesting than on the super-popular part of Badaling. In Badaling, it is often crowded - this is due to the small distance from Beijing (80 km), developed infrastructure (hotels, restaurants, a funicular) and, of course, beautiful landscapes. https://www.trekclub.org/

  5. In addition to the interest in the Great Wall of China and the fact that Badaling is the longest site open for visiting, there are other factors contributing to this popularity of this particular site. Firstly, it is very easy to get to the Badaling section. Daily round-trip buses and high-speed trains go. Secondly, there is a fairly well-developed tourism infrastructure.  On a Great wall hiking tour, there are several places to eat next to the wall, ranging from KFC fast food to the highest-class restaurant that hosted old US President Barack Obama. Also, tourists can even arrange dinner and overnight on the Great Wall of China for an additional fee. https://www.trekclub.org/

  6. Symatay is one of the few segments that retained the original appearance of the 14th century. On the bricks, the wall is made of, the date when they were laid, and the number of the military unit involved in the construction are indicated. This is the only site open in the evening. The Great Wall of China is one of the main attractions of China and one of the most visited monuments in the world. For many centuries, it has served as a source of inspiration for writers, poets, artists, musicians. https://www.trekclub.org/
