  1. Keyera E-Learning A step-by-step guide to setting up a New User Account Acquiring a Course Completing a Quiz

  2. Open your internet browser, click on the navigation bar and type in www.keyeracmds.com • Click on “Training”

  3. Find the Recommended Links and click on “e-learning @Keyera”

  4. To create a new user account, click on “Create new account”

  5. Fill out information according to prompts. Recommend using the same ID and password that you use for the CMDS system. Once all required fields have been filled correctly, click on “Create my new account”

  6. This will send an email to your account. Open this email and click on the activation link provided. This will verify your username and password and then you will have access to e-learning. It will also open the e-learning website on a new page. (You may have to enable your browser to allow pop-ups)

  7. Once you’ve clicked on the activation link, it should pop up to the e-learning website oryou may have to log in again. If so, enter your user ID and password. This is the way to access the system for every future log-in.

  8. This is the screen that shows up when you log-in. For this example, click on “Electrical Safety” because this module currently requires quiz completion to capture arc-flash competency. All other modules can be used for training without quizzes.

  9. Click “Yes” to confirm enrollment in this course.

  10. This will bring you to the introductory page. You will see various blue links. The one you want to click on first is “Basic Electrical Knowledge” This will open the pertinent information. Read through for comprehension. Print for study guide and reference.

  11. Once you feel confident in your Basic Electrical Knowledge and have reviewed the Ohm’s Law Simulator, click on “Basic Electrical Knowledge Quiz”.

  12. Click on “Attempt quiz now” A pop-up will appear requesting confirmation. Click “Yes” to continue to quiz.

  13. Answer each question and click on “Submit” for each question afterwards. Refer to reference material as needed.

  14. At the bottom of each page, there are three buttons: Save without submitting: Saves your progress but doesn’t send test in for marks. Submit page: Saves your progress but marks your answers. Submit all and finish: Sends your test in to be marked and recorded. This uses up one attempt.

  15. Once you click “Submit and Finish” your results will be revealed with an analysis of correct and incorrect answers. To continue on, click “Finish Review”

  16. This page summarizes your grade and shows attempt status. Validator requires an 80% or higher grade. Re-attempt if necessary according to instructions on page. Print this page off to show to your validator as proof of comprehension of course material. OR During validation process, log on to e-learning and review results with validator. Repeat this process for “Arc Flash Awareness” module.
