  2. Use Case Definition A “Use Case” is simply a defined way of using Yammer to accomplish a goal or complete a task. Define the use cases broadly enough to support the larger goals. Define the use cases granularly enough to show direct impact on specific groups. Use Case Attributes • Low Barrier • Business processes that do not need highly specialized workflow tools • Business processes that rely on colleagues co-collaborating. • Visibly Demonstrable • Work is transparent to many and enticing to emulate. • Involves enough people to demonstrate meaningful exchange of information. • Part of the Workflow • Part of regular activity • It is where the work, communication, and decisions around the work happens. • Engaged and Committed • Commitment from leaders, use case leaders, and business users to participate.

Now Develop Your Strategy • Take your Use Case examples and prioritize which ones are most impactful and influential • Transfer the content into clearly-defined outlines with goals and plans of action • Utilize these outlines to track progress, ensure you accomplish your pre-defined goals, and create relevant communications and training materials for the target audiences

Field Research Use Case - Example innovate DESCRIPTION Employees in the field need to capture and share market research (in the form of pictures) about customers and competitors with the rest of the company in a time efficient manner. ISSUE Current process is too lengthy and complicated resulting in limited adoption. If pictures are taken, they are not uploaded to the appropriate location due to complexity. If the pictures are updated, the end location is rarely accessed. Difficult to organize content for future use. No integration with mobile devices. SOLUTION [INSERT VIDEO] Take pictures in Yammer and add topics in under 30 seconds. • BENEFITS • Increased research • Actionable information • Historically searchable • Accessible via mobile • SUCCESS METRICS • More pictures uploaded compared to current process • More people uploading pictures compared to current process • Discussion (people and posts) around pictures • Use of topics to categorize information • Employee survey question
