  2. Introduction Feudalism made major changes to European society. It was a social system that kings and lords created when European society was in major problems. In the social system , the manorial system was the economical part.

  3. Major Accomplishments Feudalism was in the years 900s to 1212, when the Crusades finished. Feudalism was a form of government domained Europe for lots of years. Feudalism shaped European economy for much time, after Charlemagne death. Also a great achievement was Chivalry, made major changes to feudal system. “ Chivalry was a system of rules that dictated knight´s behavior towards others”. (Holt, 298)

The Decline of Feudalism Crusades Feudalismdeclinedfora majorreason, thecrusades.LordstogetmoneyfortheCrusadestheyselledtheirlands, withoutmoneytheylostpower in the feudal system.Manykingsdied in battle. Kings tooktheopportunitytotakethetaxesup,allthisreasonstookanendtofeudalism. TheCrusadeswerewarsfightedwiththeobjective of regainingtheHolyLand´, therewere 4 Crusades. Thisaffectedfeudalism a lot.

  5. Howdidfeudalismhelpedsociety? • Feudalismaffectsmodern time. Becausepeoplestarttobeneficiatethemselveswithdifferentwork. Before, peoplehadtaxes, and in thismomentpeoplehavetaxes, manykinds of taxes.

  8. ManorialismSystem: • Manorialismshapedtheeconomymuch time Europe. Bytheyear 900s peoplewereruledby local lords. Manorwerefarminglandsthathad a church , themanorshouse, cultivatedlands.

  9. Lands • Fief: wasthegrant of land. • Vassal: Thepersonwhoreceivedthefiefwas a vassal. Thelandwasdivided in 3 parts , the lord hadonethirdand thepeasentshadtheotherremainingparts. Peasentsworkedtheother 2 landsforthemselves, buttheygaveparttothe lord.
