  3. Now the Real Stuff • STAR database • Using Specify • NO starting database!! • Images first

  4. Upload Image Files (sorted by species)

  5. Use Existing Mapping (if you have one!)

  6. Images Loading….

  7. Grid View and Custom Data Form

  8. Clean Up data in Open Refine • Export Data Set • Open the Excel File in Open Refine • Clean up data • Can’t import back in – images won’t still be attached • Copy/paste changed columns back in • Make sure it matches up to avoid a mess!

  9. GEOLocate in the Workbench

  10. Record by Record

  11. Move to GEOLocate Web

  12. Check Your Georeference/ Adapt

  13. Copy & Paste into Specify

  14. See Your Coordinates, Input Type!

  15. View in Google Earth

  16. See All Your Points!

  17. Associated Data

  18. Upload Data into Specify

  19. View in Lifemapper
