Section383.51 FMCSA • Disqualification of Drivers • If a driver receives two serious violations in a three year period,his/her CDL license will be suspended for 60 days. • If a driver receives a 3rd serious violation in that same three year period, their CDL will be suspended an additional 120 days. • All violations in a personal vehicle, count against CDL. CSA – Effective August 23, 2014 • Companies/drivers can now use positive results from court outcomes on drivers traffic citations that affect CSA scores to REMOVE CSA points from the company/driver record. Why is this important? • Now a direct connection exists between positive court outcomes and company/driver CSA safety scores. • These scores can affect insurance rates, legalliability/exposure, and customer contracts. • CDLP legal representation can assist in these court outcomes!!
