  9. Why does this matter to you? There are 54 million people with college degrees in the US, but universities have no idea how to contact about 65% of them. And given that the average giving amount is $100 per alum, that’s $3.5 billion dollars in lost potential! About 10% of employers offer matching gifts, so add another $350 million dollars in lost potential. But most alumni are not even aware of this benefit, and those who are aware are significantly more likely to give. Enhanced opportunities through better connections
