  1. Fleming College Quality and Risk Management Review • Summary • November 10, 2005

  2. Initiation QA Executive Summary • The project has started and is progressing well at this point. There are no major issues at this point but there are many items that the Project Management and Leadership should monitor, manage and resolve to ensure a successful project. • The project scope is well defined and documented in a Project Charter – signed off by Project Leadership and key stakeholders • Project Governance is established and there appears to be good executive-level participation from the College • Communications to various stakeholder groups is underway • Project teams are functioning and project deliverables are in development – some are signed off (e.g., Academic Structure) already – which is good progress at this point in a project • The technology infrastructure is in place • The team morale appears strong at this point and there exists a lot of enthusiasm for making this project a success • Project resources are now in place, however there is some fragmentation on the technical team that will need to be monitored to ensure the fragmentation of resources does not impact the project

During the project team meeting, the Project Managers should ensure teams understand the processes used to manage the project. G All streams are in good shape at this point in the project. Stream specific recommendations are included in the detailed QRM report. Project Status Summary G Deliverable Acceptance As mentioned above, any deliverables which dictate a change in the way work is done within the College should result in a proactive Change.
