  3. HYPOTHESIS We think that the light bulb #1 will produce more heat than the others, because it’s bigger than the others. MENU

  4. MATERIALS • 4 Different light bulbs • lamp • 3 thermometers • Stopwatch • Camera to take pictures • Shoebox for group demonstration MENU

  5. Procedure Put light bulb #1 into the lamp and turn the lamp on. Hold the thermometer under the light bulb for 2 minutes and write down the light bulb temperature. Turn off the lamp. Let the light bulb cool down before you re move the bulb. Let the thermometer return back to room temperature. Repeat steps 1-3 with light bulb #2, #3, and #4. Measure the temperature of each light bulb two times. MENU

Some light bulbs have more watts and more volts of energy than others which can produce more heat. 3. What light bulb would you buy in the future? Why? Light bulb #4 because it is fresher light and brighter. 4. Is the brightest bulb the bulb with the highest temperature? No MENU
