To Form an SMRP Chapter • Plan initial interest meeting and establish interest from 20 M&R professionals • Create a Steering Committee • Submit request to form to the SMRP Board • Upon SMRP Board approval, make business arrangements • Plan the official Opening Ceremony! SMRP Certification Organization (SMRPCO) • Statistically analyzed and • overseen by a professional • psychometrician • Offers Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) designation • Exam questions based on SMRP’s Body of Knowledge (BoK) – Five Pillars • SMRPCO has close to 2,000 • CMRP’s worldwide • Companies can become • sustaining sponsors and gain • representation on the advisory • board, discounts on exam fees • and an annual report on how • your people performed on the • exam “A CMRP in every facility around the world.”

  11. ANSI Accreditation • On September 11, 2007 the CMRP exam was accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

The CMRP Exam • 110 multiple choice questions • No specific prerequisites, but relevant M&R work experience is recommended • 5 key subjects areas from the BoK • Business & Management • Manufacturing Processes • Equipment Reliability • People Reliability • Work Management • CMRP designation gives you greater earning potential, improves career opportunities, with respect and recognition from your colleagues.

  14. Electronic Testing • SMRPCO has partnered with Schroeder Measurement Technologies (SMT) to begin offering the CMRP exam via computer based testing.
