  1. Sync Setup and Installation Throughout this slide show there will be hyperlinks (highlighted in blue) follow the hyperlinks to navigate to the specified Topic or Figure. Hyperlinks will only work when being viewed in a slide show.

  2. Installing the Sync Tool In order to install the Sync Tool the Installer must be installed first. The following instructions will walk you through: Installing the Installer Installing the Sync Tool Setting up the Sync Tool

Sync Tool • Go to http://upgrades.windfallonline.com/ • Put in your User ID and Password (If you do not have one email Windfall support at support@assetcontrols.com.) • Click on Windfall Sync (FIG 1) • Click on Installation (FIG 2) • Click on Windfall Sync Installation.exe (This is the installer.) (FIG 3) • You will be asked to run or save, select Save As • Save it to your C drive • You will be asked to run, select run • You will be asked to Unzip the files, select unzip (FIG 4) • A window will pop up saying that 8 files have been unzipped successfully, click ok (FIG 5) • The install shield wizard window will pop up, click on Next (FIG 6) • The next prompt is the “Destination of the Sync Tool” (We recommend keeping what is already there.) Click on Next (FIG 7) • The next prompt is the “Select program folder” (We recommend keeping what is already there.) • Click on Next (FIG 8) • The last prompt tells you that the setup has finished installing. • Click on Finish (FIG 9)

  4. Sync Tool • Go back to http://upgrades.windfallonline.com/ • Click on Windfall Sync • Select the version of the sync you are going to install (FIG 10) • Click on the version (FIG 11) • You will be asked to run or save, click save as • Save on the C drive • You will be asked to run, select run • You will be asked to Specify a local server and user ID, click ok (FIG 12) • Enter the server name (FIG 13) • Enter the user ID • Enter the password • Use the drop down and select Master for the database (this step must be done last to confirm that the settings are correct). If the settings are not correct, the drop down will not work and you will receive an error. • After selecting Master from the drop down, click save • The Windfall Sync Tool will pop up, click on databases, select Local (FIG 14) • Enter the Server Name (FIG 15) • Select Add New from the drop down, select the database from the browse button • Enter the User Name and the Password, click Save • If the settings are correct you will receive a message saying “database added successfully!” Click ok (FIG 16)

Sync Tool • Click on databases, select Web Server (FIG 17) • For Web Server enter Sql.windfallonline.com • For the Database enter Windfall – Company Name • Enter User ID and Password • For FTP Server (depends on what version of the web you are on), enter ftp2.windfallonline.com • Enter the User ID and Password • For the Upload Directory enter Windfall – Company Name • When finished Click on Save • If the Web Settings are correct you will receive the message “Web Server Connection Successful” click ok (FIG 18) • If the FTP Settings are correct you will receive the message “FTP Connection Successful,” click ok (FIG 19) • If all settings are correct you will receive a message saying “information saved,” click ok (FIG 20) • Click on options, select Schedule (this is where you tell the sync when to run) (FIG 21) • Use the drop down to select how often you want the sync to run (FIG 22) • Set the daily frequency for the sync • Select the time you want the sync to start and end for the day • Check the Resync box (We recommend setting this an hour after the ending time of the daily sync) • Check the box next to each day • Change the drop downs next to the days from detail to quantity (Leave one day on detail, we recommend using Saturday or Sunday for this.) • When finished click on Save • Select Sync Now to start the sync (FIG 23) • Once the sync is finished it will look like this (FIG 24)

  6. Select Windfall Sync Back to Sync Tool

  7. Click on Installation (If you are installing the sync) Click on a version if upgrading (Different versions depend on what version of Windfall you are running) Back to Sync Tool

  9. Unzip the files Back to Sync Tool

  10. Click on the ok button Back to Sync Tool

  11. Click on the Next button Back to Sync Tool

  15. Click on a version to install Back to Sync Tool

  19. Click on Databases, Click on Local Back to Sync Tool

  20. Enter the Server Name here Select Add New from the drop down Select the database from the browse button Enter the User Name here Enter the Password here Click on the Save button when finished Back to Sync Tool

  21. If all of the settings are correct you will receive a message that says that your database has added successfully Back to Sync Tool

  22. Click on Databases, Click on Web Server Back to Sync Tool

Enter sql.windfallonline.com here Enter Windfall – Customer Name Enter User Id here Enter Password here Depending on the version of the web you are on, you will put in ftp.windfallonline.com or ftp2.windfallonline.com Enter the User Id here Enter the Password here Enter Windfall – Customer Name Click on the Save button when finished Back to Sync Tool

  24. If all of the Web Server information is correct you will receive a message saying “Web Server Connection Test Successful” click the ok button Back to Sync Tool

  25. If all of the FTP Settings are correct you will receive a message saying “FTP Connection Test Successful” click the ok button Back to Sync Tool

  26. If all settings are correct you will receive a message saying “information saved” click ok Back to Sync Tool

  27. Select Options, Click on Schedule Back to Sync Tool

  28. Use the drop down box to select how often the sync will run Select a time to resync, (We recommend setting this an hour after the ending time of the daily sync) Check the Resync box Check the box for each day Select how often you want the sync to run Use the drop down and change every day to quantity (We recommend setting one of the weekend days as detail) Select when you want the sync to start running and end running Check both Delete boxes (we recommend deleting after every 30 days Back to Sync Tool When finished click on the Save button

  29. Select Sync Now to run the Sync Back to Sync Tool
