  2. Marvin Heemeyer • Owned several muffler repair shops • Sold all of them except for one in Granby, Colorado • He lived in Grand Lake, Colorado about 16 miles from Granby • He was a generally liked person

  3. What made him evil? • Heemeyer became enraged when his business was ruined by shady zoning changes and he believed that city hall and the mayor were corrupt. After years of protesting and town meetings he was forced to give up his land and sell it. He had one last plan to get payback so he constructed what was later know as the killdozer. It was

  4. Zoning Despute • A local concrete factor owner came to Heemeyer to buy his land for a new plant. The deal was he would sale the land for so much money and when it came time to make the deal he raised the price and the company wouldn’t pay. They went to the town hall and got a zoning change. The concrete company made their building right in the only way into Heemeyers shop and he was furious.

  5. How he changed world history • Heemeyer changed world history by showing what people can do when they are enraged with hatred and anger toward one community and how crazy people are.
