  4. NST - Our educational travel company We have booked this tour through leading educational travel company, NST. We’ll benefit from their knowledge and experience in arranging school tours, as well as the 24 hour assistance they offer should we need their support whilst we are away.

  5. Tour objectives • On our tour, students will: • Perform in or attend four concerts • Visit many WW1 battlefield sites • Visit Bellewaerde Theme Park • Possible visit to a chocolate factory

  6. Tour overview: 21st - 26th July 2014 We will depart from Dover/Folkstone to Calais by ferry crossing on Monday 21st July. We will stay at Munchenhof in Langemark, Belgium for 5 nights, and will return home on Saturday 26th July by Executive Coach.

Our accommodation We will be staying at the Munchenhof in Langemark www.munchenhof.be Hotel Munchenhof can accommodate 120 – 128 people in a total of 45 rooms situated either in the main building or the annexe to the rear of the hotel. A traditional hotel which has been extensively renovated to a high standard which provides purpose built student accommodation in multi bedded rooms. Rooms for students are 2-6 bedded with the use of bunk beds. All rooms are equipped with private facilities. Towels are not provided. The recently refurbished large dining room can also double up as a meeting room. Breakfast and dinner are self-service. The hotel has an adjoining public bar - open 08:00 – 00:00) with a small games area that includes videogames, table football and pinball. There is also a 4-lane ten-pin bowling alley at the rear of the bar, the cost of which is currently €3.00 per game including shoes.

  10. What’s included in the price? • Our tour cost of £489 per person includes: • Return transportation by Executive Coach • 5 nights half-board • Travel insurance • Entrance fee to Bellewaerde Park • Tour Guide • 2 Tour Shirts (with the help of the Royal British Legion!)

  11. Travel tips - Passports All students travelling must hold a full passport with six months of validity remaining on it after the date of our return. If a new passport is needed, it is recommended that you apply at least 10 weeks before we depart, especially if a visa is required.

  12. Travel tips - Money The currency in Belgium is the Euro. We recommend that students take £72 with them on the visit in cash/2 wallets.

  13. Travel tips – European Health Insurance Cards UK residents are entitled to medical treatment, at reduced cost or sometimes free, when temporarily visiting a European Union (EU) country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland. Only treatment provided under the state scheme is covered. However, to obtain treatment we will each need to take a European Health Insurance Card with us. Please note: Not all UK residents are covered in certain destinations. For full details and to apply for a free EHIC card online, visit www.ehic.org.uk.

  14. Next steps First deposit - If you wish to join this visit, can you please let me know by 17th December 2012. I will require an initial £30 deposit to secure your booking at this stage. Second deposit - I will require your second deposit of £30 by 15th February 2013. Final payment - The balance of the visit will need to be paid in full by week beginning 21st April 2014 with a final payment of £429. Payment plan
