What can EdTech do for you? • Help you enhance, enable, and expand the learning experience for your students with technology • Connect you with peers to collaborate and share ideas for improving the teaching and learning environment with technology • Provide a reliable, supported teaching and learning technology environment

Support Services • Consultations on adoption of teaching and learning technologies, best practices for eLearning, technology selection, and more • Workshops and self-help materials • Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs) • partnership with CERTI (Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation)

  8. Support Services Classroom Technology • Includes: • Projector • Instructor PC • Some document cameras • All centrally-scheduled classrooms are equipped with projector and PC

  10. Support Services CLC Software request Process • Starts after middle of semester • When requesting software, remember: • Your name • Your department • Software titles and versions • Desired CLC locations • Courses that will be using software

Support Services CLC Software request Process • Software MUST meet the following criteria: • If it needs to “check out” a license, then it must be license managed by the license server • The software meets campus security standards • The software has been determined through testing that it does not interfere with other software packages installed on the same machine

  19. EdTech Team Gandalf Sidio System Support Analyst • Install and maintain presentation technology in centrally scheduled classrooms and CLCs. Including but not limited to: • Projectors and external displays • Smartboards and Sympodiums • Document Cameras • Lectern PCs • AV switchers and controls • Audio systems • First response for technical issues in classrooms. • Creating and deploying images for the classrooms and “Virtual CLCs”. • Evaluating new equipment and software for use in teaching.
